GitViz is a GitHub repository visualizer that turns repository data into an editorial-style dashboard. It helps you understand a codebase through a radial file tree, commit heatmap, contributor breakdown, and language distribution, all presented with bold brutalist visuals and smooth motion.
Process
The app starts with a GitHub URL or owner/repo input, validates it, then fetches repository metadata and activity data from the GitHub API. It renders the results across specialized components: a hero search flow, a 'how it works' sequence, feature cards, a live demo preview, and supporting sections for tech details and contact.
Outcome
A production-ready repository analysis experience that balances striking visual design with practical usability, making complex GitHub data easy to scan, explore, and present.
